Individual donations are the bread and butter that are key to the fundamental mission of Zienzele: supporting the self-reliance of women caring for HIV/AIDS orphans in rural Zimbabwe, and ensuring that these vulnerable children have access to education.
Child-headed households are the most vulnerable population we work with. Sponsoring a child-headed household with a donation of $300 provides one year of school tuition, school uniforms, staple household items, and shipments of clothes and shoes for children in homes without adults capable of supporting them.
Support Zienzele with a purchase from our online store where you can purchase beautiful baskets made by our women's caregiver cooperatives. These women earn money from Zienzele's purchase of their baskets which they can then use to support their family, and when you purchase a basket from us, %100 of your contribution goes back and pays school fees for HIV/AIDS orphans.
Get Involved
We love to have volunteers work with us whether on big projects or just for the afternoon. Please contact us if you are interested in supporting our mission. There are countless ways to get involved with the Zienzele community.
Selling Baskets - Many individuals support Zienzele's mission by selling our baskets at their club, church, or even a party. It is so easy to organize a basket sale in your community and it is a really beneficial way to support Zienzele.
Starting a group - Starting clubs within your school, church, or larger community is a great way to spread awareness and raise money for the women and children Zienzele works with.
Volunteering - There are many ongoing projects in the US which you could volunteer with like working at basket sales, organizing events, volunteering at the annual Zienzele Village Walk, or simply attend our Zienzele Night.
